Bobcat Ridge

Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association will be working on the powerlines at Bobcat Ridge, mostly on the Powerline Trail. Expect short closures of up to 30 minutes on this trail and others near powerlines thru mid-October.

The City of Fort Collins Natural Areas Department will be conducting aerial weed spraying at four natural areas this fall at sites that have large infestations of cheatgrass, a non-native, highly invasive weed that is challenging to control. Steep slopes and rough terrain prohibit access by traditional equipment. The natural areas will closed for about four hours while spraying is underway. No effects to people, pets, non-target plants or wildlife are anticipated. Closures will be posted here and at trailheads.

A major construction project is underway on the Fossil Creek Trail. A pedestrian underpass is being constructed under the BNSF railroad to further connect the Fossil Creek Trail. Tunnel construction project will happen until January of 2017. Trail construction will continue after the tunnel is complete. The entire project is expected to be finished by the end of 2017.
